Devon was retained by the 2015 Pan Am Games Secretariat very early in the bid process to provide strategic communications counsel and media relations support, but also to win support from the Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments. All activities – including staging high-profile events, and conducting community and stakeholder engagement - focused on the benefits of hosting such a massive event, while minimizing the risks to stakeholders. One of the most frequently cited Games’ benefits is the commitment to accelerate implementation of transit projects, including the rail link to Pearson Airport.
