Amy provides
tactical and strategic counsel and government relations services. Her
experience gives her a strong understanding of the mechanics of government,
policy development and legislative and regulatory processes.
Since
joining Devon in 2009 Amy has provided public affairs services in areas such as
grassroots advocacy, public consultations, financial sector, healthcare,
government and non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining Devon, Amy served as a Policy Advisor to the Minister of
Finance. During this time she advised on two budgets with a primary
responsibility of corporate tax. She also served as Director of Parliamentary
Affairs for the Minister of National Revenue and as Policy Advisor to the
Minister of National Revenue and the Minister of Western Economic
Diversification. In addition, Amy also worked for two years as a Legislative
Assistant to a Member of Parliament and on political campaigns at the national
and provincial level.
Originally from Calgary, Amy holds a BA in Political Science from Carleton
University.
